Sue Williams is the author of a crime-caper series set in Rusty Bore, population 147. Sue was raised in country Victoria and hotly denies this provided any inspiration for her writing.

She is not the Sue Williams found guilty of plotting to kill her husband.

Or the Sue Williams who writes non-fiction books.

And she’s not Sue, Baroness Williams of Trafford.

Sue is a science and travel writer and a chartered accountant who also holds a PhD in marine biology. Her articles have been published in a range of magazines and on ‘The Science Show’ on ABC Radio National. She lives in the foothills of the Dandenongs, Melbourne with her husband and a disturbing number of uninvited possums.

The first novel in the series, Murder with the Lot, was shortlisted for the Ned Kelly Awards, Best First Fiction, 2013.

The follow-up novel, Dead Men Don’t Order Flake, came out in 2016 and had a raft of hot diggity kind reviews.

The third book in the series – Live and Let Fry  – is out now. It’s had some fantastic reviews (you can see them for yourself here). And the lovely Readings Books selected it as their Crime Book of the Month! Well, pretty much everyone in Rusty Bore is now in love with these kind people. Even the ferrets.

Sue’s books are published by the fabulous Text Publishing.
